Tucked away in the Maple Gold Recreation Centre on Jalan Sultan Ahmad Shah is this cozy little restaurant.
The decor is lovely, charming, spanking clean and even though there's no air conditioning ,surprisingly it isn't too hot once you are seated inside.
A lovely place to chit chat over an ice cold drink.
It's our first time here and we're pretty hungry.
Kailan with roast pork belly sounded good.
While the greens where smooth and creamy I expected this dish to come out salty but it came slightly on the sweet side.
The pineapple fried rice is delicious.
Nice,fluffy,tasty and fragrant.
Before our Seafood Otak ($18) came,
I envisioned it to look something remotely like this
In reality,
we destroyed this elegant aluminium parcel
Turning it into an
Ocean's Wreck of cabbages and C-food
While the otak was spicy,it tasted and looked nothing like the Penang version.
Yet offers considerable value for money.
Just look at the size of the prawn,we fished out from it.
Simply bursting with squid rings, fish meat,
beaten eggs and cabbages, all for $18.
True authenticity may take some getting used to,but I know I will definitely be back for the pineapple fried rice and the rest too once I get the hang of it.
