( NH ) Euro Deli Biergarten, Penang

How wonderful it is, to be able to watch their progression as the years go by.  I've been a fan, from the time they first infiltrated our supermarkets to the exciting dining options they present to us today.

Take a look at this unbelievable All day long offer .

We don't need convincing since we know, just how smooth the dark Erdinger beer here is.

Today, however I'm up for the blonde Konig Ludwig.

Somehow I still prefer the black one to this.

We find ourselves staring in disbelief at the Rinds New Zealand beef fillet steak.

Do these two lumps really cost $ 48.90 ? Aaah...But it's good. Richly marinated, very delicious.

Only next time, it's got to be medium to well , so that it does not appear so shrunken.

Although they substituted the mash potatoes, it was no problem for us since the fries went very well with our drink .

The mozarella filled tomato cup was a nice touch that provided colour and enhanced the overall presentation . Too bad the tomato dwarfed the steaks.

I had the Jaeger Schnitzel ($ 31.90 ) which is essentially pork escalope , with liberal doses of bacon pieces amongst handmade pan fried buttery flour bits called Spaetzle.

Although I enjoyed the pork and ham combo immensely,I found fault with the strong flavoured mushroom sauce, badly cut brocolli florets and final assembly that looked like it had just been in a minor accident.

Messy.Messy.

Englisch Teller $ 33.90 is basically an all day breakfast set.

Features a mouthwatering packed Nuernberger sausage , a mountain of streaky bacon, one sunny side up egg, baked beans and more fries .

They're not called Malaysia's Sausage King for nothing.

Finally,comes the ED Kaese Hamburger.

Freshly cut pickles, all enveloping cheese, generous layers of finely minced patties, makes this is a succulent enough, filling meal, for all of $ 22.90.

Thus I simply cannot imagine who would be crazy ( or famished ) enough to want to take on their Matterhorn challenge. Apparently if you can wolf down their 3kg, $88 ++ mega burger in 45 minutes, your meal is free.

We compare the two measurements provided in the picture and start giggling like jackasses.

The bill puts a stop to our loud guffaws and increasingly ridiculous suggestions on how best to blend, squash, compress or deflate the Matterhorn.

Walaueh.

Since no other place serves beer like this, I guess it's ok to hear a hollow echo from your pocket once in a while.

Tips : they have a pocket saving, lunch promotion between 12noon to 3pm, where meals start from a very reasonable $17.90 ++ only
