( U ) Satay Ah' Basri - Bayan Lepas

I have to say I was a bit apprehensive before stepping into this satay outlet.

From the outside it looked like a cafe but once inside it resembled a fast food outlet .

Oh oh.

On top of that, it was also clean, brightly lit,with sweet, well mannered staff....hmmm.... I was truly prepared for the worst.

When you get to the counter, the choices blow you away .

Rabbit, deer, calamari and ostrich satay, capati wraps, planta rice, tomato rice, tandoori flavour, they even have salad ?  

Wow !

The surprises continued right up to the moment they delivered this plate of original chicken satay to our table.

The sauce is not too spicy, but the red dot in the centre is cabai that is super tasty .

For $1 you get a monster stick that is over 4 inches long !

Massive, filling, nicely marinated, not too sweet.

Almost bigger than a can of coke.

Most important, delicious.

The meat is extremely tender and falls easily off .

No need to bite like a caveman .

First class satay that can rival Satay Aneka for those who remember it's taste.

The ketupat cube (nasi himpit) is good too. So hard to find good ketupat nowadays.

I am sold. Definitely will return for more.
