Mall's Cafe, Prangin Mall ( NH )

Originally operating from the popular corner kopitiam on the same floor, today, they have relocated to this new spot .

Like other regulars I was not fooled. Checked out that original shoplot ( two new boy chefs in their place) before heading back here

In case you don't know what to do here, first go inside the shop and pick out the ingredients you want in your tomyam soup.

Place all that you want in a plastic bowl and state what type of noodles you want

End result. Incredibly delicious !
The best, tastiest and spiciest southern thai tomyam noodle soup you will ever find in Penang

Then again, the taste is dependant on whom the chef is as well as what ingredients you pick.
The other day, I got a young man instead of the 50something chef and I was dissapointed as the soup was less thick than usual. Also, I shouldn't have put in white tofu as it watered down the rich flavour.

The tomyam soup you see in the picture was cooked by the older guy.  Total awesomeness !

The ais kacang here is worth a try as the ice cream has a toffee like consistency which makes me believe that it is probably home made

Location : 33-3-90, Prangin Mall, Jalan Dr. Lim Chwee Leong, 10100, Georgetown, Penang.

Directions : look for Parkson Prangin Mall, go to the top floor, come out, the shop is on the left between a hair salon and escalators
