Fok Kee has been around for ages, but lately I see the crowd thinning as more and more people have shifted away from the inner city to places like Jelutong and Air Itam.
At first, I thought it had something to do with the price, but no, our meal inclusive of drinks,rice,one veg,one meat and one black pomfret cost less than $50.
This is the fish, sliced neatly in half ( yea looks scary like it's got 2 faces ) laden with bird's eye chillies and a vinegarish kind of sauce.
This here is their speciality.
Best I've ever had on the island, but it has to be eaten boiling hot.
Hakka style, 3 layered belly.
So awesome, deserves a close up.
Look at the gloss and texture, and try to argue with me that this is no good.
Last dish.. so,so only, as I prefer cauliflower and brocolli done a little softer. However, I do need to mention that the prawn is delicious.
Try to pay them a visit, if you are in town. Nearest hotel, City Bayview, is 5 minutes walk away.

Directions : look for the famous Kuan Yin Temple on Pitt Street (also known as Jalan Masjid Kapitan Keling ), it is on the side away from The Star newspaper office, just opposite the Little India enclave .
