Real homecooked meal at Chew Jetty Cafe ( PF )

The shop isn't very wonderful to look at, in fact it's very cramped, but it does hold a small secret

Take a look at this signboard.
Call the number on your mobile ( bear in mind that you have to be able to converse in Penang Hokkien with the person on the other end of the line ) and within minutes ......

this amazing home cooked meal will be delivered to your table, fresh out of the kitchen from one of the homes near Chew Jetty.

Sandpiper.
12 in total ( another plate not in the picture )
A shoreline fisherman's favourite.
Very difficult to clean if you prepare it yourself.
All you need to do here is eat.
Kept simple. Fried with a little salt for flavouring.
Freshly caught.

Small white pomfret.
Same recipe as above.

This shellfish is called lala  .
Tastes sweet and hot but it's quite addictive.
Can't get enough of this. Better than most hawker stalls.

Besides the 3 dishes you see above, they also offer Balitong ( a type of mangrove snail ) .
As this operator doesn't provide/sell cooked rice, you'll have to purchase some from the Economy rice stall in front . Otherwise, if they're closed for the day, you'll have to make do without.

Location : Chew Jetty entrance

Chowtime : best before 5pm

Directions : from the ferry terminal turn left, pass by a Shell petrol station on your left. Keep left. Look out for the Chew Jetty sign. The shop is just next to that sign.
