The Tg Bungah pasar malam is slowly evolving.
The entrance has lost its Malaysian-nes already with more young entrepreneurs introducing a lithany of creative dishes to us.
Don't get me wrong. I'm not complaining.
I do find the change quite exciting.
And so do others. As evident from the little patient queues forming at the new outlets.
But it does feel like Kaoshiung, minus the cold weather.

The mysteriously good looking Oink Oink burger chef, kinda makes you wanna look twice.
Haven't tried this yet, but I am sure it
( the food, yo, not the chef, whatever were you thinking, haha) must be good, judging from the crowd

A little Taiwan seems to have sprouted up here.
Take this Enoki Bacon barbecue stall for instance.
Really delicious and really tasty for your info.
Had the sausage wrapped in bacon only.
Will come back for the mushroom another day.
Then there are
those weird looking food vans hawking bubble tea.
Can't miss them.
They'll get your attention alright.
Across the road from them plies this old sugarcane trader.
Something I hope will not be forgotten or be tragically substituted by bubble tea in the future.
Old trader, hawking Taiwan sweetcorn.
In move with changing times.
If you want young sweetcorns, with small, soft kernels that just burst ever so lightly between your teeth ,
this is the right place to come.
this is the right place to come.
Get them to omit the margarine and salt if those ain't your thing.
Miss those days when corn came in so many sizes and were only boiled in
salt water.
Tasted so darned sweet when you sucked the water that had seeped into the husk.
