July 2014 :
Did many of you come stare at them or take their pictures ? Do note down, that if you come here now expecting to see this family, well, you will only see some Bangla staff. Ngeh ngeh ngeh
..............
Tucked away in the upper floors, a real Korean family is running a little stall within the Just Food foodcourt !
No matter how busy they were with back to back orders ,the pretty miss is sooooo polite and sweet, she can make your heart melt. Don't know how she does it, but her hair stays absolutely perfect from morning to night.
She's really pretty by the way .
This is where they run their trade. The crowd is curious because they, like me, never imagined they'd see a whole family of Koreans prepare stone rice, kimchi stew, korean sushi, ginseng soup and rice cakes, right before your eyes !
There are picture menus in the front of the counter, for you to point what you might want to try out. With prices written on yellow hearts. Awww....
Seeing how the weather's been so unbearably hot lately, I'm having the Ginseng Chicken soup. Chicken is incredibly tender, extremely fresh, naturally sweet. Soup fragrant and creamy too. Unlike the restaurant versions, the soup contains less glutinuous rice. Nevertheless, out of all the places I've tried, I like their version most .
Kimchi stew. Totally vegetarian. No meat inside.
From the ingredients they're using, you can tell that they've gotten used to some of our Malaysian ingredients . So while it may not look as blood red as those sold in restaurants, this is no less lethal due to the inclusion of cili padi ! The soup is tasty and quite addictive. Again different from restaurant versions. It's very hot mind you.
While you can't compare them to the restaurants you've been patronising, this family is a walking advertisement for the goodness of their culinary creations.
What did I tell you ...she's a real sweetheart isn't she ?
