( NH ) Xin Ji De Shi Dimsum - Jalan Dato Keramat

You can't imagine how hard it is to find a reasonably priced tasty dimsum outlet in Georgetown. Old joints don't necessarily guarantee a wonderful experience while the good ones never seem to be able to sustain themselves in the long run .

Although this is a new discovery on my part and I have no idea how long they've been open , I sincerely hope they stay on for a long time to come. Because hey, first of all, their variety is awesome ! Omg...so much to choose from and this is just the steamed section to begin with.
Secondly, after you select what you want, they will heat it up on the spot for you !

Devoured two bowls of this beautiful steamed egg between us. Not cheap but worth it if you ask me. No, wrong, it's divine !
Saw them add a portion of chinese wine on top , real tasty to the last drop.
It's actually like a chawan mushi except that you're enjoying this in a dimsum outlet at 3am in the morning !

Teochew chai keoy stuffed with chives, tons of garlic and harmai . Oh my yum....
Two.

This one's a joy to look at because there is a perfectly steamed century egg and salted egg yolk inside.
Pretty as a petticoat. Not bad.
One was enough. Didn't want to overdo this.

Siew Mai. Was tempted to take two .
Restrained myself cos...look scroll down...see how much we ordered ? Huhuhu

This version of deep fried fishballs, you can get all over Raja Uda in Butterworth. Now available here.
Forget what I said earlier, two please.

Juicy, scrumptious, mouthwatering stuffed bittergourd. You gotta be a chinese to know how to enjoy this.
So, so , soooo tempted to take another portion.
Still regret not doing so.

Stuffed ladies fingers . The sauce is the same as the above , consists of tausee and tauchneo. Not too salty. Vegies is not fibrous nor spiky. Good.
One will do.

I used to have to go all the way to Chai Leng Park, in order to enjoy oily deep fried godarned delicious stuffed brinjals.
Now I can get my fix here.
Two, yup...bring it!

Har Mai.
Ok.No complaints.

This being Penang, crayfish is easy to find.
Not what you would expect as it's full of ginger to kill the fishy smell. First time for me. An acquired taste.

Mini chee cheong fun roll with a minced meat shaped like a crude sausage inside.
The dough is excellent and so fragrant you can smell the burst of rice fields if I may add. No, I'm not exaggerating.
Going to faint already.

What the shop looks like. Not many people but don't let that fool you.

Total inclusive of a pot of chinese tea : less than $50
