Dove into this oldie but goodie Moi place to cool down the system.
Am featuring this bowl of humble porridge first because for Moi connoiseurs , achieving a texture of this consistency takes a lot of TLC as well as some secret kungfu .
Fan cheong stewed in 5 spice and soy sauce.
Very, very, very, very good.
The intestines are still slightly springy, the sauce exceptional.
This coming from a person who isn't particularly keen on this offal.
I polished half a plate. It's that good !
Hard boiled egg in soy sauce.
Excellent. Flavourful.
Very good
Belly tripe stewed in soy sauce.
Nicely stewed , firm fatty area .
However I much prefer tender meat that's been cooked far longer.
This is their famous choy poh egg omelette.
Just ok for me cos I can actually cook up a more delicious version. Anyway, the preserved veg is the sweet type, whereas if I prefer the salty version.
