Sleep easy at The Andaman

" Where are you staying ? " the car hire guy asked us.
" Teluk Datai" I told him
" Where in Teluk Datai ? " he asked again.
" The Andaman " I replied " Wooooaaahhh !!!! The Andaman ? " he almost went into a fit ." You know, when you enter the resort, they greet you with a Donggggg " he replicated the sound from a Malay musical court instrument. Okay, so while we were already prepared for that, you can't find everything about a place on the net nowadays . There are still some missing parts , left to be filled in by muah.
Yes, the bed is HUGE. Bouncy, comfy and big enough for a plus size like me to spread eagle and roll back and forth without thundering to the ground like a big potato sack.
Those red cushions, I wanna get some for the home. They're kind of like the signature furniture here. Clothed in tough material . Bolster packed like a log.
There are enough lights to set the mood, with a huge brass fan that absolutely works, plus air conditioning and heat  too, if winter ever occurs in the country.

 Our welcome fruit basket.
Wow, duku, if I'm not wrong.
Correction, Duku with white linen napkin and silver utensils on a white side plate. Wowzers. Omfgz.
Never mind, to further cement the fact on how successful you are ( please lah, I was not one of those business centre coffee hogging over complaining free loading wedding guests ), since you've already made it here , all the way to this remote but esteemed address, you need The Peak magazine to accompany you as you're cutting away and truing to figure out exactly how to savour those fruits of the rainforest.

Yup, by the time we check in, it's around 4.30pm, since we had a few giggles over that late lunch.
Anyway, I love how the sunlight is filtered. Reminds me of late afternoons spent at my gramps. And the wooden flooring, ah, I can almost smell those creaky rafters.
Love it already. That's the tv on the right ( with all the channels you and your family will ever need ). Safe and fridge underneath it.

See a sofa this size, in any room in any hotel in Malaysia, and you know roughly how much your room costs already.
Was very comfy and springy enough for er, some activities if I may say so.

Have seen enough of Dilmah everywhere . Only get this, you get fine china mugs to enjoy your cuppa.

First thing you see when you enter the bathroom. This vanity mirror is to die for. The bulbs all round , every woman's dream mirror. I love this, in fact I took many failed selfies here. Kehkehkeh

White robe, white towels, ah, we are meant to have a long good soak in this tub. I'm pretty sure a lot of 5 star establishments don't have that spray thingy on the right.
These tapheads however, take some figuring out. Which way to turn to get the correct tepid or hot water you desire.

This black thing here, is called a Labu Sayong. In the days before fridges existed, the Malays used to enjoy an ice cold drink just by using this ingenious fired river clay , water container.

Rain shower above, normal shower below.
Again, those Brit like taps.

Eucalyptus range of bath products.
I can tell, we're gonna have a good time together.
Lol, I'm talking to a bath product.

Looking out from our balcony, seeing this family having a jolly good time squealing away in their private ( yes, private  ) pool , flanked by a 250 million year old rainforest on both ends, hey, you'd be a fool not to enjoy it to the max.
