This may be nothing compared to the commemorative Big Gulp tumblers in the US, but it's still something .
For Slurpee fans, the purchase of this tumbler allows you to fill it up at RM1 only , thus giving you a huge discount of RM1.70 off the regular price ok ?
Big deal for some schoolkids in Penang.
The other big deal is that once the ice goes in, the cup changes colour from white to pink. Really cute !
Anyway, here's a funny story as to how kiddo got to lay his hands on this.
While I was busy hunting for this cup a week back and eventually gave up after that, some managed to get this only 2 or 3 days back.
So , yeah, kiddos friend, he was one of them who acquired it with none of that Petronas umbrella drama ......until....jeng jeng jeng.....his mom found out about it and made a heck of a lot of noise over the purchase. Reason : no, nothing to do with Save Gaza, but she yelled at him " you are wasting money ". Sad.
That poor boy spent the next 2 days begging everyone to take this off his hands ( in Penang, nobody wants anything free , don't look at me but it's the truth ) until he came to kiddo. Kiddo's a big Slurpee freak. Nuff said.
I'm left wondering how come giving away a cup that costs RM10. 90 isn't considered a waste but spending RM1 is ?
I don't even want to understand how purchasing this tumbler to qualify for the deal quantifies to wasting money. Don't start with me. I won't get it.
In short, a temporary hijack from the new owner, led to it ending up on the pages of this blog.
