Gate 302 - Atatürk Havalimani airport

When we first arrived here from KL , we had a shuttle waiting for us. The driver made me giggle because it seems at a certain point along the highway, they now have to keep to a 70 speed limit or risk a 500 lira fine. Such a funny guy. Maybe the Turkish highway patrol read my fast & furious blog post lol.
Whatever.....

This time, I thought I'd save some moolah and take a train to the airport but by the time we reached the Aksaray Metro , I felt as if I'd climbed a mountain because it is really hard to lug a heavy trolley bag over cobblestones.
On the train, a local guy gives me a funny smirk, while my eyes wandered down ( whyyyy ??? ) to his exposed erm, curly jungle peeking out from his v neck . He breaks into a smile , while I start to break into a sweat , hoping he didn't get the wrong message ! Turns out that this hairy chested ( *~* ) but kind soul was trying to alert us that we were on the WRONG TRAIN !
Omg ! Get out now girl ! Mad scramble out, to change trains at the correct station.

Past the scanners, we come right smack into a whole gaggle of tourists from China at the Turkish Airlines counter . Some of them start taking out knives ( eek !!! ) which they bought from Italy ( phew ! they must be businessmen not madmen ) to repack into their check in luggage right in front of everyone.
There was a bit of confusion when the counters opened, but everything went smoothly after that.

Zipped past the cafes and duty free shops towards Starbucks but drat, had trouble connecting to the wifi unlike last time.
Bah, not going to shop so might as well go to our boarding gate and wait it out right ?

We soon reach the gates downstairs. One lady took 2 hours to find it.

That's just how close we are to the planes . When we first arrived direct from KUL , the plane parked sooooo far out , even further than the ones at Abu Dhabi. The expansion is definitely needed.

No reason to dump any coins here today

Was caught in another mad scramble down here on another trip, with a group of very competitive senior citizens from Japan ! Gasp ! Can't blame them for acting out of character, as it had to do with a gate change and it made everyone go a little nuts as the change was so many floors down.

The other indication of who's going on board with ya.... nuns.
Blessed journey it ought to be.
