Casa Del Rio is a lowrise luxury hotel which sprawls along the Malacca River. Out of 66 rooms there are only 18 River Rooms and I stayed 2 nights in this pad below.
The sheer length of it , compelled me to start a rough count. I can tell you that it takes 18 strides ( 18 langkah ) to reach the window or if you put one foot in front of the other , 30. Is that long or what ?
So in this post , lemme pace you through.
Begin from the front door where there's a full length mirror on the wall ...
...pass this area which leads to the first door into the bathroom ....
....a wardrobe against the wall where you can find your bathrobes , bedroom slippers , an electronic safe , hangers and ironing facilities
.......continue along the hallway where the 2nd door to the humungous bathroom is .Will show you the bathroom in another post. Its that big !
Proceed 2 steps down this split level unit, where there's a tv and this cupboard containing a stereo player , minibar , pantry of snacks, coffee and tea making facilities .
Don't mind the massive King sized divan with beautifully embroidered bedcover , directly opposite it
Still , you'll have to pass this workdesk I so love to touch. The switches on the wall is for the balcony fan and light.
Hang on. We're getting there soon.
Make yourself comfy but take care not to knock over the one of the 2 gorgeous bedside vase bottomed lamps.
Unlatch the hinge and draw the sheer curtains apart.
There are 3 curtains here . The second one can block out stadium spotlights while the 3rd is patterned .
That red building is part of the Stadhuys btw.
How freaking awesome is this ?
Wrought iron balcony grills. Bougainvillea shrubs not only beautify but the thorns itself deter anyone who has any intention to scale into your place.
Before you sit on one of the 2 available chairs out on the balcony, switch on the powerful fan and enjoy watching the tourists pass by or whizzing on the boat rides.
