A Sorbet welcome before you Check In | Casa Del Rio

Anyone who's been here raves about the Lemon and Ginger Sorbet . Served on a gorgeous tray with cold towels and a spray of flowers freshly plucked from the garden grounds, the gesture is sure to melt and win you over straightaway.

We arrived a little past 3pm . Not on the dot because I didn't want to squeeze in with others.

Had to gostan back as it was our first time here and we didn't know where the carpark was. We assumed that it lay across the road from this arch but no . The hotel has an underground covered carpark which is very safe seeing how the staff entrance and an office can be found down there. Always someone around in the carpark plus it's compact and well lit

Made it to the lobby in no time .

When we were signalled to wait our turn, I took it to be that we should find our own space until other guests were done checking in

Took us by surprise when we were told to relax here first as they wanted to give us a welcome sorbet before we checked in.
I was almost left speechless when Mr Dwayne comes over to extend a personal welcome . Special mention about Dwayne. If you are lucky enough to get him , he can not only move mountains but is a man of his word. Not just mere lip service when he tells you he'll try his level best. Oh believe me he will get things done for you !
There after the very pretty Muona takes over and handles our check in smoothly

Dear managers if you are reading this , kindly take note that this man is the best. He's all over the place making sure everything is just right for all the guests.
In fact he was so busy I didn't catch his name so I hope you can identify him by his watch lol. He wears spectacles by the way and is very fit bustling and zipping about non stop.

Tadaaaa....beautiful dessert for a hot day
served in a cute Nyonya style bowl
with ceramic spoon.

Muona escorts us all the way to our room and takes the trouble to explain all the workings to us

This access card is for the lift and carpark

While the green card is for the room

Take a look at the number of switches by the entrance.
Oh there is more inside.

More in the next post.
