Let's LángoS

Lángos is like a giant Ham Chim Peng without 5 spice powder or a
thick Indian Puri .
While the original recipe, does not come with fancy toppings, just cheese and sourcream , what is sold here looks so appetizing, you might just go overboard and slap on everything !

It's a fact.
Tourists like to flock where other tourists go , plus the easiest location I could think of immediately in order to try lángos would have to be Nagy Vásárcsarnok or the Great Market Hall ..
Upstairs . On the right side of the entrance.

2 types of Lángos are available on the menu .

On the far end is Lángos Sausage ( on a stick )
and over on this end , Lángos with toppings of your choice.
Please remember that while this counter may look like Subway's , the more toppings you select, the higher the price skyrockets !

Doesn't she remind you of Piper from the old Charmed tv series ?

Seating options. Shared table space, stand or sit.

Warning : be prepared to get brushed and elbowed if you are along the pathway.

Don't forget to dispose the trash afterwards .  Every customer knows how to help clear the table. There is a bin near each stall.

Verdict :

Love the cold sour cream with fresh dill. Mmmm !  Absolutely love the tomatoes. As good as Italian tomatoes !
Should have skipped the olives though.
Much prefer the plain fried dough without the melted cheese because the cheese plus sauce mix is too salty for me.
Still, worth trying . Just remember not to get carried away when you pile on the toppings. It will cost you dearly.
One lady added on a slice of ham plus 3 or 4 other ingredients  and I still remember the shocked look on her face when it was totalled up.

Location : Budapest
