When you see a line that takes a minimum of half an hour of queueing just to get a table space in Bangkok , join in.
As you can see, all the sexy leggy beautiful Thai ladies want in on this ot, hot ,Korean fried chicken restaurant.
You betcha I'll wanna try it out as well !
If you understand a little bit of Hakka , you can probably understand some spoken Thai numericals. Kinda crucial since numbered queue tickets are given out but then verbally announced in Thai.
We finally get admitted into this full house .
Gosh !
Drinks do not come cheap.
Water alone is 25 baht and it comes in a square mineral water bottle with a plastic wrap that states all the countries this Korean franchise has landed in.
That's a Thai edition coke can next to it.
Ordering takes a little deciphering. No, it was a headache....the menu was difficult to figure out. Options will be too mind boggling for first timers.
We settle for a Large mixed flavour combo of 4 drumsticks and 10 wing pieces that costs 380 baht . The combo also came with one free rice and one free kimchi coleslaw . The rice was nice, the kimchi coleslaw absolutely rotten if that's your thing. Yep smelt like pure garbage. While we do love kimchi , the coleslaw felt and smelt so wrong.
And while we did not go all out, I can assure you , that if you like really spicy wings ( we were practically fighting for it rather than the milder sweeter garlic flavoured one ) you will find these quite addictive . Plus the wings go really well with the hot rice so you can actually add on a spicy soup for maximum effect.
Bonchon fries were an additional order that cost 100 baht.
The white thingy at the end is pickled vinegared radish. Both were ok.
If you want to beat the queue , the only way is to do a takeaway.
Just place your order at the cashier counter and you'll get your hot wings in around 15 minutes or so.
Dining in will subject you to a 10 percent service charge and 7 percent VAT . In the end the bill will be quite high but if you like to set your mouth on fire , this is worth it !
