Pier 21 - the best foodcourt in Bangkok

Pier 21 is a foodcourt that operates on a prepaid card system. Something essential because of the massive amount of diners that converge here on a daily basis.
So massive that cutting down on queueing time is a must and the workers are so clockwork efficient , even if you're on a diet , at least drop by for the sights !

There are 2 counters where you can purchase and top up your card. Here's what the one nearest to the escalators looks like.

Upon receiving your food order , the people manning the counter will swipe your card and you can immediately see the balance from the receipt.

Since we are here very early ( yea we ate and ate and ate till almost closing ) there are still seats available.
Later on, the place will be crawling with sooooooo many people , some resort to takeaways.

Food served here is heavily influenced by Chinese cuisine . Also  the prices are so ridiculous and the taste so good, you can actually feast like a king for very little money.

( For those searching for Halal options, I am afraid there is only one choice available . Just so you know )

Everytime you visit Bangkok, there's a new food craze going on and currently , ice blended fruit juices are all the rage.
Cut fruits are displayed this way for you to select.
We got a fresh raspberry, blueberry and strawberry mix for
30 baht only ! Now that's incredible !

Here's the Mango rice counter.
Yes , I am showing you the various dessert and goodies counters because they really cap off the good meals here.

And coconut counter with coconut ice cream that  is to die for !

At a drink counter, beverages are churned out the good old kopitiam way.
We thoroughly enjoyed  copious amounts of roasted Thai coffee here for just 20 baht per papercup !

Will feature the various dishes we tried in the next post. Wait for it. But if you're in town and you turn your nose up at this place, you really have no idea what you're missing out on.
This foodcourt is a must visit !
