Two petrol guzzlers parked outside the entrance .
You don't get more middle eastern than this.
Works like a charm in drawing guests like moths to a flame....
....electric flames that are encased in soothing lamps just about everywhere you turn.
The effect is no less gorgeous even if it is made from plastic.
This is Lebanon , Tanjung Bungah .
Their second branch following the amazing , amazing success of the first outlet in Batu Feringghi.
Tanjung Bungah means the Horn of Flowers and I do so hope they kipidap , I mean keep it up.
( Yes , I like Ayah Rani Kulup even if he is prone to be sometimes um..biased. )
Shisha bar in the back up against the wall.
Against a wall that leads to this koi pond.
Don't you already love this place or what ?
Such a huge upgrade from the old place.
See what I mean ? Another example.
Even the washroom looks like this.
I'll tell you what I know about this row. The buildings here , used to be people's homes , but they've now all been converted to business premises due to the road front advantage.
This particular house was one of the last ones standing until an Indian restaurant opened up next door.
The smell of tandoori and curries wafting over on a daily basis made the owner eventually cave in . Penang Chinese love spicy foods but they want to stay healthy sothey eat in tiny portions. I think that's probably why the owner decided to surrender. Lol.
But right now , I'm soaking in and completely loving the transformation.
Meanwhile , this is the only semblance of their Batu Feringghi outlet. The private dining spaces with the same curtains . This corner is definitely more modest .
Initially I thought that they would hike up the prices but no. The prices are the same in both places.
They know their customers have discerning tastebuds with high expectations who shy away from cut throat prices.
And I guess from the looks of it , that they want to pamper us with a feast for your eyes at the same time.
As usual we ordered the mixed grill.
No pics because by the time that arrived it was full attack mode on. The grilled meats were so tender and juicy , we were going mmmmmm mmmmm .....slurps !
What I did snap is this grilled chicken with fries and salad. Delicious !
Not forgetting , pizza for the YB.
Leave you with 2 more shots of the outlet from the road front .
Notice that they also have an upstairs dining area , as well as a barstool counter on the ground floor for singles who need someone to chit chat with.
Lovely what they've injected into this space.
They've just made Tanjung Bungah more beautiful.
