CRC Penang - small table in a big restaurant

It's a big restaurant and we're such a small party of people that I'm really worried if we're gonna be ignored .
So we decided to arrive early .....like really , really , really early and yes , since we were so obviously visible , the kepala ( head ) of the ladies squad personally attended to us . Phew !

I'll give you 5 reasons why you won't usually catch me in a fancier Chinese restaurant .
1. Price   2. Noise  3. Intimidating and impatient local waitresses
4. The menu   5. Preference towards bigger parties

The fact that we are finally here means , ok , today , I am prepared to put up with or face all those deterrents .
Whatever it is , our choice of timing means that number 2 and 5 shouldn't be a problem and if we're lucky , we shall sail past number 3.
Well , we got lucky both on 3 and 4 .
Just needed to point out stuff on the menu .

Tadaaa....we did well as you can see .
Now the only hurdle left , is number one ....whether all this will cost a bomb or not . Read to the end for the reveal ok ?
I'm prepared to fork out MYR 200 for the fish fillet alone , anything more and we will have to go wash the dishes so to speak .
Rule of thumb when you order fish or seafood in any Chinese joint lit up with chandeliers instead of fluorescent lamps , is to ensure you have deep pockets or a credit card or  you should be mentally prepared to get the mop and bucket ready .

 * keep your fingers crossed before asking for the bill *

So let's cut to the chase . Most of you are here because you could be as clueless or as kiamsiap as muah .

I'll tackle the clueless part first .

In today's age , it is ok to show and tell .

You Show Them the screenshot pics and They Tell You the name of the dish .
All you need to do after that is to nod , while paying full attention in case , the person taking your order has some eye problems they haven't come to terms with .

Right . Here we go .

Spicy prawn curry with bread .
The curry leans towards a Mamak / Thai influence , while the bread is more of a sweet mantou loaf .
Loved the bread on its own although we are supposed to eat it with the curry .

Yums .

Luxury scrambled eggs ( packed with mouths full of ingredients ) served with lettuce leaves on the side .

Quite dry yet addictive but fun to eat .

Cod fillet pan fried with honey .
The kitchen will measure the fish in accordance with the amount of people at the table hence this is what we got . I told ya we're a small party .
Light and pleasant .
Take note of the old fashioned wafer flower , we used to find on sponge cakes .

Brocolli with shitake mushrooms .
Nice .
Will willingly pay more to add on scallops and sea cucumber next round .

Now we come to the kiamsiap part .Total damage for all that plus rice and Chinese tea : MYR 180
Not so bad right ?
* phew *

Does one need to be a member or know some member , in order to dine here ?
No .

Tip : the waiters are all foreigners who cannot understand Malay , English , Hokkien nor Mandarin . So just let them chum cha , clear tables and hover nearby . If you need to communicate , summon the ladies instead .
