Needed some garlic yesterday .
Walked into the local hypermart and when I looked at the price for a small bag , my eyes almost popped out .
Small bag of onions MYR 2 .
Small bag of garlic MYR 8 .
WHAT ?
EIGHT ?
Rightttttt.
I decided to not buy the bag from the hypermart . Instead , I picked up one bulb from the local Bangla grocer .
" Satu reenggeet tuah polor sehn "
Shot him a 5 second stupified look before promptly paying up .
As I pushed the door open , I felt like kicking myself for not taking the whole bag earlier .
No wonder a lot of Chinese hawker food tastes so lousy nowadays .
Garlic is so costly , I betcha they are omitting this ingredient for good .
