What's in the Chatter Platter

Buy one platter and get another platter free on your next visit .
That was the main condition .

Funny thing is there was no description attached and because we just had to rely on the photo , if you've ended up here ( on this blog of mine ) because you're looking for answers , I'll tell you what's in this set .
Looks very impressive alright .

Right. So here's what's inside the first Chatter Platter

1. Small pieces of deep fried dory fish meat in batter

2. Deep fried oyster in batter

3.Deep fried squid head with tentacles

4. Deep fried salmon fins , fat and skin with just a few tiny pieces containing meat

5. A whole bed of fries underneath

6. 4 sauces

7. A few florets of brocolli , boiled carrots and 2 lemon wedges

So was it and is the Chatter Platter worth it ?
My opinion is this.

1. We should have taken the second option
2. All the cuts that would normally not be utilised for their regular menu...well those cuts are not wasted here ( when you are a regular , you will feel that this is either very sneaky and clever or not very nice of them )
3. It's good as a finger food and meant to be shared by 3 pax although I think 4 pax would be more suitable .
4. Except for the 2 fishes in batter , the other batters are pretty darned hard on the gums ! I personally love deep fried batter and stuff but frankly this was a bit extreme.

Ultimately , when you bite into a piece of salmon fat , you might feel like somebody pulled a fast one on you or takes you for a sucker .

Yep , we should have opted for the second platter , and when we eventually claim that , I will post it up here

Update :
Didn't take too long for us to go claim the other set .

The second option is much better if I may say so.

Again , here's the list of items we found in the platter

1. Good mix of rice and fries

2. Garlic butter mussels

3. Alio olio spaghetti with squid tentacles ( we totally loved this , very fragrant , lots of herbs , enough salt )

4. Deep fried calamari ( very tender and soft with a most enjoyable light batter)

5. Brocolli florets , boiled cuts of carrot , 2 lemon wedges

6. Salmon curry ( after the first platter , none of us dared eat this , we took just the curry which completely did not go with the entire platter . I felt it tasted more like kuah ikan for roti canai )

Overall , we enjoyed this second set tremendously . What to do right ?

Yeah and it is claimable on Sunday too . No problem whatsoever so thumbs up . Good job on this second option ( just pair the salmon curry with some roti please )
