Again , I'm not gonna filter these pics. I'll let the pictures tell the story for you .
Those of you who used to live here , well come see the situation at around 4pm earlier today ( 5.11.2017 )
I'll start the journey from the opposite side of the Tanjong Bungah Post Office to Loke Kun child clinic and back .
Try and see how many fallen trees you can find on this short stretch .
Opposite Tg Bungah post office.
Another fallen tree at the outter corner of the Rapid bus depo on the right .
More debris from the trees
This tree fell across Lebanon's driveway but did not look like it damaged the restaurant .
Snapped tree next to Penang Swimming Club
Pockets of uprooted small trees along this retaining wall
Another fallen tree just at the side fence of an acquarium store .
Chinese Swimming Club on the left . Side path is littered with debris and branches
Loke Kun child specialist too had their entrance blocked .
There were so many workers yet they seemed to fail to make much progress on freeing up the driveway .
You see , 2 huge trees both fell into the compound .
Trunk again snapped just like that.
They should seriously stop planting this tree species on the island . It simply cannot take the winds .
Moving back again to the acquarium shop . See that tree ? Their fence has taken a beating .
And back towards Caltex .
Some have been working tirelessly chain sawing the trees so that the roads can be accessed by traffic .
Location : Tanjong Bungah main road , Penang
