Nice to be on the receiving end

Second hamper of the month !
( gave the second one away )

What I liked most was this.
A frosted glass Lucky Japanese cat which doubles up as a sake cup maybe ?
( that's a lot of sake to down )

Capping off the Dragon year

Dropped by here to pick up what was supposed to be delivered to me a week ago since I was out of town.

The girl that attended to me, is like a grown up doll.
Must be from Nibong Tebal, a lot of the girls from that area, are all sooo pretty.

Everybody loves a Nestle hamper

Everybody loves a Nestle hamper.
It's one of the most welcome gifts.
Especially when received close towards the festive period.

Same goes for me.
Yea, I love it so much,
I made sure it got strapped safely into the back seat

Well, well, look what the courier brought in today.

(wasn't expecting the notebook but what a nice touch)

Nice start to 2013

Fantastic way to start the new year.
Been wanting to stay here, just for the feel of it and now I have the opportunity to do so.
Just haven't decided when yet.

Elianto Organic Olive Shower Gel

Out of everyone, the emcee picked me to answer one question.
He must have loved my failed biker chic look.......
most probably it was my frantic waving that made him quickly select me before I hopped onto him.

After using this product in the shower, I'm a fan.

Audrey Queen of the Day

Imagine.....me......sitting on that throne,
crowned Queen of the Day in an event hosted by the glamorous Ntv7 personality Tiang Kah Chee .

With a tiara for keeps...
even though this wasn't a beauty contest, but a signature contest .
Priceless !

Later, having an entire entourage  , complete with cameraman follow my every move, as I shopped like a celebrity at Audrey.
Basically anywhere, I wished !

"Kumpul & Tebus" Promotion

80 labels of drinks in return for a Casio G-Shock DW6700 watch ?
More than a fair exchange if you ask me.
Had my eye on the pink one actually.

Only trick was, I had to rush in my entry ASAP since they had a limited amount only to give away
But then I dragged my feet (oh why?),thus it was touch and go whether I would be one of the lucky ones.
Today, I received this via courier.
Paper box torn by me cos I couldn't wait to see the colour.
What you see down here below is the tin box

Maroon ? Wow.
DW 6900 on top of that.
Totally unexpected.
Shiny and chunky. Nice.
Just have to reset the time, date etc.

Kinderino Luggage Bag Promotion

Was overjoyed when I received a call today to collect this from their office.

All I had to do was to buy $12 worth of Kinderjoy by Kinder Bueno products. Judging from the market price for these kinds of kids trolley bag, it can cost anything between $90 to $200 MYR.

As you can see, it's a really good quality premium

Too nice

Don't want to take it out of the plastic bag yet

Well...maybe later ...but for now this is a keeper !

On facebook

This is one of those rare times I've entered a competition on facebook and won a little something nice for myself.

Feels fantastic seeing your name up there , gracing a nice retro poster on the social network with a $100 dining voucher on the way.

Much as I'm excited by this piece of good news,  frankly Facebook makes me feel so bare naked and unsure footed at the same time.
Long as it took me to start this blog, I guess it'll take an equally long period for me to get accustomed treading around in there .

Xbox 360 Kinect- Special Edition

Way,way back, I was walking along Orchard Road when they first launched the Xbox . There was an event tent up and it got every passer by super excited.

Yet up till today, I've never owned one.

How far the Xbox has come since the first generation.

All these features made it feel like Christmas had come early

Thanks for picking me as one of the 670 lucky recipients

Another number 2

This is not a repost

Thank you

Counting down to the next destination...

I cannot contain my excitement.

Have visited this city three times in total. This will make it the fourth cap.

On my first, I walked the entire length of the river Thames and ended up on a public coach all the way to Edinburgh with a trio of footballers , one of whom seriously looked like Ronaldo. I'm not kidding. Really looked like an exact carbon copy.

Second, marked my first encounter with gypsy child pickpockets in Chinatown during the London Marathon.

On the third, the highlight of my stay was when I actually chanced upon Haliza Hashim (a TV3 foreign news correspondent ) dropping off her child near the area where I was staying (some lousy Afghan run hotel that cost a bomb).
My jaw dropped. I just gawked at her like she was a Malay version of Lady Diana or something but she didn't notice me. Why would she anyway ?

Fast forward, today, I've seen all the usual sites, blah blah. I know where I wanna go already. I know I want some coffee with a variety of pies near the Big Ben, first. Oh yum.

Save the museums for later.

The Shard not only looks awesome , it costs 1.5 billion freaking Pounds . Tallest skyscraper in the European Union.

Although I will miss the grand inauguration ,happening later tonight , don't worry, I will be there eventually. Just carry on without me for the moment .

AEON Gift vouchers

First time getting AEON vouchers ever since they changed their name from Jusco

The most wonderful thing about these vouchers is, there is no expiry date.

Corporations sometimes prefer to give vouchers instead of cash because while of the attractive rebates they can get.

Thank you for the small but meaningful gift.

Travel Time

The weather is forecasted to be rainy on the first 3 days of our arrival . Averaging between 25 to 30. Hot !

Much as I prefer to come here during CNY, who am I to complain right ?

Been here a total of 4 times yet never once have I found it boring. This one makes it the fifth.

Definitely need an umbrella or two. Light showers expected.

Haven't even packed, yet I can still find time to tap away at the keyboard. Cheesed off with myself and how I prioritise things at times.

Passport. Tickets. Hotel voucher. Money changer.

Taking a break for now.
