The requirement was to purchase RM30 worth of Nestle products. Next, take a photo of the receipt, upload it onto their website link and fill in our personal details . Super duper easy.

As usual I comply with what is asked of me and then forget all about it. No point harping on what is not meant to be mine . Right ? 

Then, I get a call asking me to check my sms and email.

 Which I did promptly of course. Tadaaaaa....

whadaya know , I'm one of the 10 daily lucky winners.

And here we have another parcel that's also overdue .

Delivered straight to my doorstep by the understanding courier guy.

First Xiaomi

Sometimes , it is the waiting that kills you. And then when it finally comes, you feel like it has turned into an antique.

Was pretty surprised by the packing. Sturdy but cheap. Especially like the little greenish plastic pillows found inside.

Giving him first preference for this. If he's not interested will either keep this as a spare or open it up and use it. Undecided as yet.

This below is my favourite book.

Which can be read only if you are armed with a barcode scanner.

You can have anything you want out of it so long as you bear in mind that it has an expiry date.

8 minute sweep

This is what me and 6 other lucky ones did yesterday.

The 8 minute Nestle Bliss supermarket sweep challenge.

Wasn't easy one bit. At one point, in the middle of the sweep, I really thought I would faint.

Rules were laid down and we drew lots from a glass bowl to determine our participation numbers

Word most dreaded

Shortlisted. 

I hate this word. It means either we get it or we don't . 

As a greenhorn, of course I didn't know that. Short to say that my anticipation and expectation was sky high. Then when reality sets in, because you wonder why it's taking them this long to announce, gee, you start getting really worried to the point where you might grow white hairs. So, you take the next step and you call them. Very meekly and in a very apologetic tone.

When the truth is conveyed..." truth is you didn't make the shortlist " you are devastated. Crushed. You see the world spinning and your ego gets flung out to join the listless orbit of space trash. 

Taken but not redeemed

No reference to the upcoming one , which will be my first .....but with this safely in my hands now, this will make it the second time I'm staying at this very lovely local resort.

Saturday courier

Managed to hook a Portugal tee from Maggi eons ago, but it only arrived via courier today.

No where near Wak Gelas's mind blowing haul of course, as I only got one. Still, I know some people tried countless times and yet ended up with nothing. So, really, I should be grateful and yes, I am.

Fast gone

Not so easy come but very easy go.

Manglish, I'm speaking in Manglish.

 Well, it's just one piece ( cos I'm not like others with a whole planet of proxies ), thus it will have to do.

Cause for celebration, hence the balloons .

This little red book has served me well.
Now it's time to take it out and put it to good use again.

All it took was a short phone call, before 2 eager men lugged this 30 minutes later

 Wasn't neccessary as it is light enough to be lifted with one hand.

What's a few more months

 

 

 We got to know Mehmet 20 years back .

He was just a humble chef,flown in by a local gourmand, who made the most delicious kebabs and grilled vegies I've ever had in my life. He didn't speak much English, but we all got on fabulously, us and that big moustached man . Made a huge impression on me and I've always wanted to come here ever since.

 

 

 

 

 

Fast forward, we've lost contact, but what's a couple more months to wait, as I patiently bid my time to visit the homeland he so missed during the time he was here.
