Kang Beef House, Jelutong ( PF )


Although most customers come here to enjoy their beef noodles, their speciality is the very unique beef steamboat set.

It is one out of only 2 operators on Penang Island offering beef steamboat.

What makes Kang stand out , is their flavourful soup stock cooked with juicy tender white radish and salt preserved mustard greens.




Specify how many pax you want your set to be prepared for and whether you want rice or noodles with it.

If you want noodles, it will come looking like this, dry, with beansprouts, topped with deepfried lard and garlic oil.

One portion per customer, is provided with your set.Extra requests, will be added to the bill.





There is a technique to enjoying the steamboat cuisine in this restaurant.

First allow the soup to boil on the portable stove, then pour in the bowl of lard oil and chopped chinese celery. Leave the red chilli alone. It is a dip.




Next add in all of the following ingredients marked in pink.Boil till the meatballs float to the top and you can start eating already.

Take note that the blue ones marked with the asterisk sign *, should be quickly dipped in with your chopsticks into the boiling soup stock, fondue style, to prevent from overcooking .




Once done,scoop into individual portions .




If you require more soup , they will top up, at no extra cost.


Cap off with a herbal drink called Heh Ku Chao and you are done .




Price : The minimum order is $40 for 2 persons and $20 for each subsequent diner thereafter.
