YEA- Shabu Shabu christmas ( NH )

YEA's got a way of showering their customers with small surprises...

...especially when it comes to festive periods.

Amongst the first was a free gingerbreadman door gift.
Awww...

Followed by a trolley pushing Santa....

...tempting diners with stuffed Pie Tee ( think the contents are shrimp with a type of mayo dressing- nice) .
Check out the bowl of strawberries.

Did I mention the miniature christmas themed cakes at the dessert counter ?

Of course, no meal at YEA is complete without their super awesome staff, ever ready to assist you at the drop of a hat.
Don't worry if you don't know what to do, your server will show you the ropes.
( In case you can't get past their thick accent, you can always watch the tv screen for tips )

Ever since it opened, it has always been a crowd puller.
All together now lunge....

Goodies on parade at the always replenished buffet.
Those spoon like things you see at the top corner of this photo can be flattened with your spatula to make little burger like patties.
They even have Angry Bird fishcakes today.

We feasted on medium prawns, oysters, canned abalone ( yup canned abalone which costs a bomb elsewhere ), as well as scallops

Omg...I had so many, I lost count.
Absolute favourite of mine, right down to the sauce and garnishings.

However, if you think there's probably a catch to this, you're right.
I mean...all that expensive food man...for that price most hotels nowadays, would probably just allow you access to this section only...

Would you believe they even have a chocolate fountain ? YEA they do !

Well, here's the catch.
There's a time limit for you to sit down and enjoy our meal ( about one and a half hours if I'm not mistaken )
But fair enough, I'm not complaining. Had a wonderful time.
Bye Santa.
And thanks for the corkscrew set gift ( not in picture ).
Another pleasant surprise ( see what I mean ? )

Location : Penang Times Square

Tips : recommended that you make a booking ahead of time this place is very popular amongst locals
