Hokkien mee with the fullworks - Jalan Burma ( NH )

Heading towards the ferry terminal , when we came right smack into an out of the ordinary jam. Suddenly recalled that some japanese festival ( Yosakoi ) was being held at the Esplanade today.
Decided to turn back and eat here.

They've grown by leaps and bounds.
Stretching past the five foot way of so many shoplots.
Easy to find ( it's diagonally across Tune Hotel ) but poses a real challenge to find legal parking space for.

While they've just started operating this stall, from a few years back, they've proven to be pretty successful, because there are just so few decent Hokkien Mee stalls at night in Georgetown.

Not that I mind, as long as the taste is agreeable enough to satisfy my craving.
The thing I like most about this place is...
you can go overboard and bring it on.
With the extras that is.
BUT all this comes at a price that would make a lot of Penangites swear profanities.
$26 for these 3 bowls.

My bowl.......Yea babe !

Brassica ( nice change, instead of the usual water convolvulus ), roast belly ( omg so juicy with thin ,still crispy skin ),tons of tiny fried-till-dry prawns, deep fried shallots, beansprouts and a whole hard boiled egg ( don't fancy this as the sauce it was cooked in's way too sweet )
sitting on a mountain of rice vermicelli.

Compare that glutton's feast to this below.
Large bowl of noodles with one hard boiled egg added on .

Location : Jalan Burma

Directions : diagonally across from Tune Hotel. Directly opposite a five storey aquarium/petshop called Chew Thean Yeang

Chowtime : best after 9pm ( the soup would have fully developed by then )
