The real Good Master Bah Kut Teh

Can't believe I've been this ignorant all this while.
Thought that the two restaurants were one and the same. Assumed they were run by the same operator.
Heck, even the signage is almost the same colour.
Apparently not.
There is a slight variation in their name.
One goes by " Good Master Bah Kut Teh"
The other " Bah Kut Teh Good Master"
Sneaky trickery.

Discovered this because the other shop in the right hand of this photo above , had closed earlier.
Roaring business it enjoys night after night.
The one below, still remained open. So in we went.
Out of curiosity, we asked if they were the same.
They said no and left it at that.

Did more digging online, and that was when we discovered a skeleton in the closet of the highly regarded restaurant across the road .

Good Master BKT

This is one of the reasons why some Chinese masters prefer to be selfish and take their craft to the grave.
Rumour has it that the student turned the tables on the teacher in his own ground.
It sickened me to know that instead of using another name altogether, the student BKT Good Master, resorted to such heartless means.
Eventually their misdeeds went unnoticed and earned them accolades from newspapers, as well as visits from celebrities.

BKT Good Master

In my first visit to the real Good Master BKT, I was rather moved by their willingness to write off a customer's bill when she had difficulty paying $7.50 for it . And when she somehow mustered up another $2, they told her it was not neccessary, that they would top up her soup for her, free of charge as well.
This would NEVER happen opposite, as the people running the show, are known to be extremely calculative.

As such I am removing my earlier post on them and will only feature the real Good Master BKT,the sifu who languishes in an undignified wait for falling breadcrumbs .
