Jam on the Pacific Highway

Using the Pacific Highway can get you all the way to Brisbane.
But you know, this was unexpected. John, our driver grew more anxious as if this was a really bad jam but heh , this is minor compared to Paris, KL, Jakarta and Bangkok.

The morning started off well and we were running according to schedule , but because they have strict traffic laws in place, as you can see from the pic above, a minor hiccup in the traffic flow, would result in scheduled tours being hard pressed for time. Those of you who are thinking about a self drive through the coastal roads , it's best to do your homework on their most current laws as they change from time to time and the officers erm, well I'm sure you don't want a 'fine' holiday to ruin the mood, right?
That's the sunroof of our bus by the way.

So that's it . Just had to sit it out. People were in the holiday mood during this time of year, travelling around ,like us too back home.

Well, it soon cleared after exiting the highway . We buzzed happily along only to come right smack into another clog up in this area called Black Hill. Both passengers and the end operator were constantly updated with regards to the ETA and traffic situation.

Apart from all that I've mentioned above, this is still bearable compared to Penang on a school day.
