Moonshadow Cruises - water slide into the boom net

We're at Nelson Bay and the atmosphere is just so vibrant.
There's a good mix of families having picnics, wading by the shoreline and generally having fun .
As we hurry along the pier to the Moonshadow for yet another lunch cruise, ( what ? ) , I notice that there are quite a few boat homes beside the commercial operators like this Shaolin junk below.

Lunch was one floor up. Enclosed with just a few tables, and back exits ,the dining space was definitely smaller compared to Captain Cook Cruises in Darling Harbour. As there were lots of tourists from China , you can imagine how annoying the noise level got.

Anyway they serve such great ,deep fried , yet tender calamari rings, I
didn't let it bother me. Fries were good too ! Comparable to Quik's ! Mmmmm nice ! So good that you can't possibly see the calamari rings.
Not impressed with the chicken .

Spirit is another cruise operator.
And the first dolphin we saw seemed to wanna stay near their boat only.Awww. Not to worry, cos they like to check us out too as much as we like to look at them.

How to know which side of the boat they'd been spotted was when you heard people gasping and cooing.

See ? A few pods were scattered around the bay and if you came in on a jetski, they'd be curious enough to swim closer.
Sweet !

Actually I didn't even know that there was a water slide and boom net out in the back of the boat. Since so many people were looking in this direction, I thought at first that perhaps they'd seen another school of dolphins but omgeeeeee.....
I am not letting this opportunity pass ! Strip !  Down the slide I tumbled. Tossed around a bit with the waves but it was fantastic ! One word of caution for those who wear glasses : take it off too or it will sink through the net.

Here's the shore I was talking about earlier.
You got to watch out for jellyfish on this side, calm and gentle as the water may be.

More pics of the bay

From here, we leave and head on down to Anna Bay
