Scenic Cableway - blue ride both ways

The weather up in Katoomba Scenic World can mist up pretty fast. So if you're pressed for time ...drat . Btw , how many times have I said it before, I just love this app. Love it to bits.Time. Date. All there , so handy and helpful for forgetful people like me.

We were actually queueing up for the Red ride, the Scenic Railway, a train ride which is reputed to be the steepest in the world and then I had to ask how long it would take.
40 minutes  ? Say what ???
We simply did not have that much to spare ! Guy in charge told us to go do the Blue ride and come up through the Red ride. Sounded workable at the time.

Down we went into the Jamison Valley  . Pretty thrilling and unexpectedly fast too .

Pics were a challenge when the mountain tops looked the way they did

General feeling among us was that good money was wasted .... Plus down here, this is a rainforest, similar to what we have in our backyard back home. Shake head.

When we realised that the train station was a good way off what to do but go straight up , from where we descended again

The Cableway can take up to 80 passengers at a time.
We were already late, yet we had to wait for the second round before boarding. Meh...if not because of Henry, if I ever come up here again, I would definitely take the Hop On and Hop Off bus instead.

Anyway, I felt the commentary was pretty lame. They should have spiced it up with the legend , instead of telling us over and over how famous Orphan Rock was before the 3 Sisters. The Orphan Rock is supposed to be a Witchdoctor looking after the 3 sisters .
An experience that was lost on us but of course it was due to time constraint and misty weather.

Location : Blue Mountains, Australia
