We had passed by the outlet a couple of times on the way to MBK and each time , even though the foodcourt next to it was under patronised , the teppan chefs here managed to hold court , captivating a mostly foreign crowd of caucasians .
By the last night , we finally nipped in here and sat in a corner together with what turned out to be 4 Hongkies , 1 lone Korean lady ( who sat down , ordered and ate more than the 4 Hongkies ! ) plus 2 Pinoy travellers .
As we watched the Japanese show unfold , helmed by a Thai chef , and salivated as the aroma wafted to tease us , I overheard one of the Hongkies remark that this place was unbelievably cheap .
( As a Malaysian , I can tell you it is not , no thanks to our devalued currency . It's not THAT expensive but it's certainly not cheap )
Those 2 are their buddies . Judging from their expression they sure look tired and jetlagged but stunned alright .
Did not snap any pics of our dish sets because I did not want to distract the chef too much .
Anyway , as we love spicy , grilled and buttery foods , though the portion was just a bit small, tastewise ,it was right up our alley , done mostly to our liking .
Squid was delicious . Hated the prawns . Loved the vegies...mmmmmmm .
Steak came doused in a five spice powder - fresh green pepper seeds combo sauce that set our tongue on fire !
The sauce in contention , slowly built up and became so hot, it caused the Korean lady , who requested for an extra portion of that ear busting lava ladled onto her rice ( the chef obliged ) , to start choking towards the end of her meal !
