Yoshinoya Hanamaru - Gurney Plaza

If you didn't know that they've been open for a month already , well , you'd better get a move on down because , I don't know about you , but even though I think it is probably halal , the meals are quite satisfying to me !

Most customers go for their Udon and add on an Onsen egg , but we wanna try out the Beef Bowl and compare if what we had in Tokyo is as good as what is served here .

Being a self service restaurant with muslim chefs in the kitchen , yeah , while I think something is lacking , the rice comes out steaming hot , it is well prepared , and although that is not the tastiest cut of beef , I dare say the portion and acceptable quality alone , can put many outlets out of business already .

That's a Chicken Katsu Curry Rice down there . Ok . No complaints . Filling , does the job . Of course , the price is much cheaper than a whole lot of places too !

As we were going through our additional order , the peace was partially broken by this Japanese lady , a mother of two teens who were dressed in traditional Malay costume . Product of a mixed marriage .
She very aggressively barked orders for them to eat and frankly they , a boy and a girl , looked really fed up and full to the point of bursting .
The fact that they dressed up was rather odd . Like it was for show . A bait to lure in similar customers , you know ? Maybe she was trying to help her countrymen . I mean , that's what it looked like to me as I've only seen Chinese mums and grandmums being a pain in the neck at the dining table . Never seen a Japanese mum go almost off her rails in public yet .... until now .

If you ask me , um , from the taste alone hah , especially when it comes to the salty but very not tasty miso soup above , this company took great care to ensure that all ingredients are halal .

Anyhow , Yoshinoya in Japan has had some issues with regards to consumer safety as they apparently sourced for vegies from a radioactive district ( you know where lah ) ....if you didn't know that , well , as a result , they too have lost consumer confidence there but only because people are afraid that they might glow in the dark .
Thus I hope to gawd that we are getting local produce , which even though it is less tasty , one day when you wake up , you can rest assured you won't see another toe on your foot .
Relax ....I'm just kidding .

Go and eat . I think it's safe to do so . Muslim or non muslim .
