Banners vs Snippers

If this tree could speak , the people that did this to it would probably run helter skelter.

Why ? See for yourself.
Don't know which is worse, the illegal banners hammered into the trunk ...
or the person who snipped them off in this manner.

When I pointed it out to my partner in crime, he laughed so loud I could have nailed something into him too.

Travel pillow - beginning to be an obsession

It started with a McDonald's / The Incredibles , U shaped neck pillow. Bought it for between RM10/15 ( I think ) from a Taiwanese street vendor instead of from their counter . I still keep that. Only the baby is gone. Lolz.

Well, that was the spark, I begun lusting each time I was in the airport, but alas, the prices were a bit too much. No, a turn off. RM50 and above. Crazeeee man....no way.

Back at Taste Thai Cuisine - Alma

Fans of clear tomyam , might not like this Southern version. In contrast this one is very oily , very sharp and sometimes very sour too.
But me, I wanted to have what everyone was having so there. After skimming through the gamut of ingredients, I still prefer clear tomyam over this ,anytime.
Still, in case you wanna know what was inside, we ordered a Seafood tomyam ( medium prawns, oyster mushroom, fish meat chunks , squid galangal slices, kafir lime leaves )what was unusual is that there were that marbled shellfish called lala which is abundant in supply in KL, but rarely sold in Penang wetmarkets .

Sunsilk - Thermocafe by Thermos

Right now, these mini tumbler flasks can be found in almost every major chain supermarket where Sunsilk ( a shampoo brand ) is sold.
Said to be worth RM79 each, in some places, some women snapped up enough shampoo to last them a year ( or two ) just to lay their hands on all 4 colours ....pink, blue, lilac and white.
Of course this promo is much more massive compared to 2 weeks back , where Watson's gave away a Vidal Sasoon hairdryer worth around RM150 in return for you buying certain brands at a much much lower price.

Grilled by the neighbourhood grocer

Me :  Do you have Nam Yee ?

She : Nam Yee ? What is Nam Yee ?

Me : ( What the ? Scratching my head cos I never had to explain what this is before )
Neh...that smelly fermented red beancurd we dip into Moy

She : ( hollering to her hubba )
Do we have Nam Yee ?

Her hubby : ( shuffles over, points out 2 forlorn altar red bottles sitting on the shelf )
Is it this one ?

Me : ( I grin at him and break into a big smile )
Yes ! Yes !

She : ( giving me a suspicious look )
So...you dip this into porridge ?
