Lunch for 2 at Spasso Milano,Straits Quay ( PF )

I'm just so glad that more and more restaurants such as this, where the day to day running of the kitchen is helmed by foreign chefs, are opening up here on the island,in Langkawi and KL.

It's such a great thing to be able to enjoy quality cuisines without having to fork out a bomb for airfare and lodging alone.

Got a little carried away, toying with my camera settings and by the time I started on my Cappucino ($12.80)it had gone a bit cold.
Though not incredibly thick like what one would get on Italian soil, nevertheless it is better than a whole lot of other places.

Maybe next time I should order straight from the wine list instead.

Heard so much about their wood fired pizzas.
Some rave about it,others say it is so so.
Think it all boils down to a matter of personal preference.

While I agree that it is indeed good, with quality ingredients and a light thin crust dough that is freshly made every single day,it could do with a little more topping.

Amazingly non oily, not to mention big enough for 2,should you decide to dig in and use your fingers, you'll be pleasantly surprised at the speed in which it takes to arrive at your table.Definitely much faster than fast food !

The thin crusted Pizza Al Funghi ($32.80) has a delicious paste that is definitely not from the tin with a hint of sun ripened tomatoes slotted in .
Expect to struggle a little, once you hit the crust beneath the marvellously sinful layer of mozarella , with the given knife, but not to worry you'll soon throw caution to the wind, and abandon that utensil, just to get down and dirty.

Don't you go wasting a crumb.

Cutting into the Chicken Saltimbocca ($32.80) unleashes a flowing river of cheesy goodness from within as the rolled ham peeks back at you.

The pasta is great. Caused me to turn a beetroot shade.
Mmmmmm...exciting,with hot splatterings of chilli flakes, not too rich.
Slick to wrap around the fork without much trouble.
Comes in a most generous portion.

Kudos to the chef. What a wonderful meal.
