Berlin's Bier Houz - Business Lunch ( NH )

Set lunches are a great (not to mention cheaper ) way for you to get a feel of the place first.

For $15 ++ you get a main course, choice of either a soup or a salad, plus a soft drink.

Already into week 4 , I only found out about this promo today.

Although the place looks deserted during the day, I am undeterred.

Swensen's Set Lunch - Tesco Tanjung Pinang ( PF )

Attracted by their $18.90 ++ Executive set lunch offer as well as a 30% discount off their ala carte menu, we sat down for lunch.

Coffee.
Weak.
Tastes of stale paper and coffee beans.
High time to change the filter .

Nyonya Breeze Desire - Straits Quay ( NH )

This has definitely got to be Penang's premier Peranakan restaurant..

Where friendly staff , clad in pretty  Nyonya Kebayas,  greet you with a warm heart and a cheerful smile on their face, no matter how absolutely busy they may be.

Attempted Motorbike Theft , Tesco Tanjong Pinang

It was so ironic to hear the report by Bernama yesterday, that Penang's street crime index has gone down by 73.1 % .

We even had our car wiper nicked early this year,of all places, in Straits Quay before but this tops everything else.

Beware when you park your motorbike or car in Tesco Tanjong Pinang as there are practically no cctvs.

This bike was parked right at the entrance in broad daylight around 10am in the morning, yet no one seemed to notice that there were thieves in action because the two criminals, were dressed well as if they were earn regular paychecks.

Lunch for 2 at Spasso Milano,Straits Quay ( PF )

I'm just so glad that more and more restaurants such as this, where the day to day running of the kitchen is helmed by foreign chefs, are opening up here on the island,in Langkawi and KL.

It's such a great thing to be able to enjoy quality cuisines without having to fork out a bomb for airfare and lodging alone.

Got a little carried away, toying with my camera settings and by the time I started on my Cappucino ($12.80)it had gone a bit cold.
Though not incredibly thick like what one would get on Italian soil, nevertheless it is better than a whole lot of other places.

Maybe next time I should order straight from the wine list instead.

Heard so much about their wood fired pizzas.
Some rave about it,others say it is so so.
Think it all boils down to a matter of personal preference.

10 is for Weissbrau - Straits Quay ( NH )

First impressions can be highly misleading.Don't be fazed by the lack of crowd.

Today,I took the plunge and was richly rewarded.

The food that they serve here,is so out of this world, most important of all tasty, fresh and such a brilliant testimony to the prowess of German cuisine, you might be inspired to treat yourself to a real gastronomic tour of Germany.
