Oh Sushi ! ( NH )

Sick of the holiday crowds, we fled to this corner today for a little bit of peace and quiet .

At first I wondered why the waiter herded us to the back as the front portion looked much cosier.

I soon found out why.
Beautiful breezy and sunny view!

It may have been a little empty when we first arrived but soon filled up once we started on our meal

Before long, the Zaru Soba $19, had arrived.

Served cold on top of bamboo leaves and ice , it came with a small selection of tempura...

....plus this....
You're supposed to mix the raw quails egg, swab of wasabi, chopped spring onions and tempura crumbs into the bowl of soya sauce below to make a dip .

Although this set got the thumbs up, the complaint was that the portion was too little .

Though I'm a sucker for tempura I wasn't exactly pleased with this set ($20.80) as it came with garlic fried rice instead of white, the fried chicken was terrible (cold,no more crispy) and I had to pay extra for the miso soup.

The cawan mushi was an additional order but I found it too salty the more I ate.

Salmon Teriyaki Bento $ 22.80 ($19.80 without miso soup)

Something He seemed to enjoy with no complains.
Plus he enjoyed the garlic fried rice so much he added on another bowl ($5 !!! extra for one bowl )

Judging from our different opinions above, I conclude that this must be one of those places you'll either love or hate.

Guess you'll have to come and see for yourself
