Wang Chau Jun ( NH )


The owner is formerly a chef from Carnation Cafe in Gurney Drive.
 Back then ( the 90s) he was good enough to make an impression on these people pictured below.


 Today, this is where you can find him.
Under the staircase, counting money.

Reaping in the returns from lots of repeat customers.


What's good here is the fried fish cooked in lemongrass soup.
The rice vermicelli though thicker than other places, is decidedly more fragrant.


Those unaccustomed, might find the hot and sour soup way too spicy,as they use a minimum of  10 of the hottest grade, birds eye chillies to boil the soup.
For starters, I suggest you get the one above and not the one below
( see the yellowish green chilli floating ? )


Must order dish.
Tofu with dried shrimp and abalone sauce.
Thin chewy membrane just about holds the soft and heavenly insides together.

Look out for this easy to miss shopfront along Rangoon Road.

Directions : Tune Hotel on your right, go straight, keep left, turn left at a large hair dressing school next to a traffic light. Go straight . The shop is almost at the end of the road,next to a travel agent.
