D101 durians - fruits as bright as turmeric

These durians are not from Penang but you would never be able to tell .

Located some 40 km away from Penang island , these durians are called D101 aka Bangkok T16 . 

Almost bright turmeric in colour , it is peanut butter thick and sticky when just fallen from the tree , with a taste that is a cross between ice cream and a cup of coffee , very lemak ( fatty ) , sweet and lightly gassy , I swear if I weren't suddenly craving for durians , this bunch smelt as if the garbage truck had just driven by , no wonder some people can't seem to get over that bit .

That's ok ....less men more share .

Filanto - fill it in 1 to 2 sizes smaller

I keep on going into Brands Outlet each time just to try out their Filanto dresses in particular and my search finally paid off yesterday .

Why ? Because last year , after finding 2 sensational form fitting ones ( 1 in black and the other in dark blue )  for under MYR 50 ( such a fit would cost anywhere from MYR 200 onwards in other stores ) , hey , I was hooked !

Now , if you look at this Princess Diana blue shift below ( MYR 39.90 ) , you'll think I must have gone loco or am paid to promote them . In my dreams lah haha .

It fits me like a glove I tell you , ( more like a Chinese version of Ramlah Ram's glamorous dangdut mermaid days ) the trick is in getting it one or two sizes smaller . Don't worry , these are highly stretchable , in fact I could even squeeze myself into an S but if I were to wear that around Georgetown , a lot of ah peks will be blinded by my spotlights and crash their mopeds into the longkang  . Soooo , using better judgement , I took the M cos ( hopefully ! ) it won't cause a stir like when I wore the Reo Red Guess romper out to dimsum in the morning .

He's prepared for any eventuality

I was just giggling at this four wheel driver the other day .

Yeah , even though we live on an island , we hardly ever see someone perch their boat on top of the roof of their car in this manner .

Low as it goes

Super excited over these pieces I picked up today !

The first is known as the Cassie Floating Stitch dress . I did try their bandage dresses already but my figure is still not there yet .

This one's very low cut , with a flare , plus hip and bum accentuations that are so vintage prewar ( of course the plunging zipper is an updated take on that look ) . Absolutely I love how it swishes and fans out soooooooo feminine and loveeeelyyyyy . 

Nasi Dalca Briyani - Kampung Masjid

Nasi Dalca is uniquely Penang . It's not as famous amongst out of state visitors but it sure has a hungry hoard of local fans right here on the island .
