10 is for Weissbrau - Straits Quay ( NH )

First impressions can be highly misleading.Don't be fazed by the lack of crowd.

Today,I took the plunge and was richly rewarded.

The food that they serve here,is so out of this world, most important of all tasty, fresh and such a brilliant testimony to the prowess of German cuisine, you might be inspired to treat yourself to a real gastronomic tour of Germany.

The sweeping bar,as the dining hall,is spacious and inviting, that it doesn't take long for you to succumb to an Erdinger draught.

Available in black or blonde at $34++ a pint,German beers are different from Carlsberg or Stout,as it doesn't rush to the head so quickly, plus it truly enhances the meal you are about to enjoy.

We dove straight to the mains, starting with No.56 on the menu, the $42 ++ Butchers Platter.

Out of the 2 accompanying side orders, the rosti (a humble grated potato)almost stole the show, away from the delectable cuts, cured meats, sauerkraut and sausage.

I highly recommend No.40, the Veal Bratwurst ,a sausage made from a mixture of pork, beef and chicken.

One bite of the spiderweb fine casing, thick compacted filling that's entirely tender, juicy and fragrant, you'll think you've died and gone to sausage heaven !

As the highly addictive sauce uplifted me further,I had to check to see if wings had sprouted on the back of my heels.
Thankfully the handmade spatzli noodles struck a nice balance and brought me back to ground.

World class!

Our spectacular meal ended too soon.

But it wasn't long before we exchanged looks, gave in to temptation and added a little frankfurter and bacon grill snack to the final bill.

Such greed on our part, proved to be so sinfully fatty,I find it hard to keep the saliva from leaking, even now as I recall.
