Kafe Tuck Sai , Jalan Bukom ( NH )

Kafe Tuck Sai is located off Jalan Datuk Keramat, on the ground floor of a block of medium cost flats .

Fairly easy to have a grand meal on a tight budget here because the food not only tastes good, it's considered cheap too for the portion they mete out.

This plate of flat noodles mixed with beehoon cost less than $5. Comes with fish meat, a few slices of fish cake, prawns , pork and sawi.

My favourite dish, strange as it may sound, is their super oily plate of fried rice .

You know how hard it is to find tons of nice char siew in a plate of fried rice these days ?
Tuck Sai is really generous, putting so much in one plate,as if they were the Santa Claus of yummy chopped char siew.

Bittergourd fried with taucheo. Simple but nice.

Best eaten with white rice and maybe a chicken dish but I didn't feel like having plain white rice today.

I swear the old male chef cooks with a whole lot of pride and love.

Besides, it's nearing the month end.

What other excuse can I give for eating on the cheap ?
