There's something about Badiuzaman, a phenomenon in the comping circle.

His name is spelt with one Z not 2 Z's. The guy in the picture below, who works in Penang, is not him, just using this as an example.

 

 

 

Happens that a couple of days back, he held a mini contest for his facebook friends. It was so earnestly yet hilariously contested at the time (mind you , it drew almost 200 guesses )....

that when this arrived through the post today , you should have seen me grin.

Hairspray the Broadway Musical - Plenary Hall, KL Convention Centre

When I first heard that this Tony Award winning musical was making its way to our shores, I certainly wasn't going to miss this for the world. Especially since I loved the 2007 movie starring Nikki Blonsky and John Travolta. More so because , I never made time for any West End production the couple of times I was in London. Don't even mention the bevy of cheap flights in conjunction with Merdeka and Malaysia Day.... there's just no excuse for me not to attend.

Then , a quick check with the ticketing site almost made me pass out. Even the early bird discounts didn't shave off that much savings.
What to do but try and win some. Mission accomplised as you can see here below.

Over a 4 day period, Gurney Paragon Mall gave away a set of vouchers to whomever flaunted a feather in the complex.

All that was in one envelope which I got on the last day.

One of 2000 lanterns to flow across the Bosphorus

Sometime ago, I penned a virtual message to mark the opening of the Shangri-la Hotel's chain in Istanbul , Turkey .

Then early this week I received this lovely email from their manager informing me, that my words had been put on one out of 2,000 lanterns to flow across the Bosphorus Straits on the 14th of May . How awesome is that ?

That was fast !

 

 

Letter yesterday, here tomorrow .
 3 other lucky people in Penang,also received this today, according to the delivery man.

 

 

Now where am I gonna put this ?

Compers are such a driving force behind the consumer industry in our country, that eventually, some come to a point, where they don't know what the heck to spend/splash on. And I'm no different from the rest.

And so, my compadres, here's another bounty I got from facebook. This time in the form of a doodle. Really means a lot to me, as I'm a great admirer of our Malaysian cartoonists. But that's not all. They even have a dedicated Youtube Video on the artist at work .

Which means...I can now watch me, being drawn over and over again until my head grows bigger than it already is .

Since only 60 people will be selected to grace their wall , I'm just feeling the love, bebeh .

Leave it just the way it is

I've always loved getting AEON vouchers. Simply because there's no expiry date. Awesome. You can put it away and 2 years later, it's still valid....great for forgetful people like mua. 

However this time round, seeing the white perforated area here, left me stumped.

Should I tear it off or leave it as it is ?

Think I'll probably stick to the latter. Not gonna risk getting embarassed nor do I look forward to being grilled at the till.

My gawd, and how it does , in the form of a whole thick booklet ( wow !! ) of vouchers for muah to spend at nice restaurants , on branded goods etc etc etc etc...
with absolutely no restrictions whatsoever !
