Nuremberg Christkindlesmarkt - tiny speciality Queen of bratwursts to King sized ones

Going through my pictures , I will probably have to recompile some of them together later .
But for now , I'm still trying to get my bearings straight and am gathering them one by one .
( I already have a dedicated post for Schwensteak , my favourite , most fantastic German dish I ever ate in the whole wide world , so go look that up )

We tried soooo many delicious , strange and new items at all the 10 Christmas markets we went to and I ate everything as long as my tummy could fit it in , yet German food is so good for your metabolism , and organic too , I lost such a lot of weight during the time I was there , if you ever come here and don't eat , want to stick to a diet , aisey ....what is the point hah ?
German food is really good for you !

Kartoffelpuffer are German potato pancakes

Everywhere I turned , there was at least one of these stalls swamped with people , just waiting to get their fill . In the end , I succumbed .
We're not gonna leave Frankfurt without trying a Kartoffelpuffer today .

Zeppelinfeld - the Nazi Party Rally grounds and Hitler's podium

As the tour bus pulled closer , I had to rub my eyes . Blinked one time and this was still there .
Looks like the Coliseum eh ?
Nope , we're in Nuremberg , and this is the Kongresshalle

And then we got off the bus and started walking towards this structure . The entire area is known as the Zeppelinfeld because the field was the first site where a Zeppelin landed .

Ah Gu Pan Mee - yummy clam pan mee

Ah Gu Pan Mee is one half of the two famous brothers who used to run a Pan Mee stall in the old Yi Garden Kopitiam .
They were in the same shop as the other famous operator , Hongkee Bamboo Wantan Mee .

We used to patronise them , then  followed them to Kampung Malabar before discovering that they have another shop here .
Update : have since discovered that they have closed the Kampung Malabar stall and are now here in their own shoplot .

Before you read further , I'd like you to know that this is NOT your regular tasting Hakka pan mee . Think of it as a richer , different flavoured version , made by other clans , especially when it comes to the soup stock . The noodles on the other hand , are equal to any lovingly homemade pan mee made in Hakka households .
