Mavera Cafe & Restaurant - Camlica Hill

This was one of the times where I really wanted to kick myself for not bringing along a better camera, still, I'm gonna go ahead and post my dark, blurry pics up because I ended up really impressed with both the food and service . The restaurant is on Camlica Hill, in Uskudar, the Asian side of Istanbul. Many restaurants dot the area, this one seems a little more 'up' than others, judging from the make of cars parked outside the premises.

Besides the stunning view of the Bosphorus Bridge, highly visible from the dining room, personally, I just love dining here. If there were such a place in Penang, I'd probably be a regular. There are hill top restaurants in Penang , but the food, um...well, you know,no need to elaborate.

Lebanon Restaurant , Batu Feringghi ( U )

Batu Feringghi it was tonight, as I craved for Middle Eastern food.
Upon opening the menu, I found that they didn't just specialize in Lebanese or Middle Eastern fare.
But western grill selections with spaghetti and pizza ???
Have to admit I thought of walking out, but I am very glad I stayed .

Lamb Briyani.
Panicked because all I saw was a mountain of colourful, rice.
While the rice was a little on the dry side, as well as a little salty, I found it most fragrant and enjoyed the texture immensely.
Seriously..the best briyani rice I have had on Penang Island to date.

James Foo, Fettes Park ( NH )

James Foo is a Hainanese style , western food restaurant,  famous for it's taste and affordable price.

It's so good, even the Korean expat community knows how to come here.

This is the crowd at 5.30pm. Half an hour after he has opened for business at 5pm. Amazing.

He is now open for business everyday of the week but he doesn't sell plain water anymore. For that you'll have to purchase mineral water.
