Yean Yean - Lembah Permai

We waited till our buttocks grew pointed so to speak .
Night in , night out , this restaurant is almost always full house , hence , you either arrive earlier , or you wait .
To pass time , you can actually do a whole lot of things come to think of it . You could stare at each other , make eyes at the occupants from the next table , play with your phone , chew your fingernails .....you get my drift .

That's the picture menu up in the background . In case you need it or you don't know what to order , just tell the order taker the number or point and show .

Aftermath of the mudflow from Granito to Taman Seri Setia ( Flat Boon Siew )

Here are unfiltered pictures of the aftermath from the mudflow which came from the direction of the condo project called Granito by BSG . On the 22nd of October 2017 , 11 people were buried alive while trying to stabilise the slope next to the hill .

During last night's mini typhoon storm which hit the island , mud and water flowed down from the hills and these are the
devastating pictures of the aftermath which you probably won't see on other news portals since the developer seems to be very influential in getting the mainstream media not to post anything negative about them .

The water came up to waist level and it came from the hills and what you are seeing is a sequence of me going into the area from UTAR towards the Boon Siew Flats .

Canai Tomyam Cafe, Jalan Lembah Permai ( U )

Note : fast forward 2014. They have been chased out and replaced by a roti canai seller now. Was told that they have relocated a few doors down but when I tried out the food, the recipes just did not seem right. Tomyam was horrid, omelette terrible.
Well what to say when their chefs are now smoking keretek, an Indonesian ciggey. My guess is that Indons/ Suluks ( yes, they are here in Penang pretending to be Malays) have now resorted to hawking the popular Thai Malay food when they clearly have absolutely zero talent in cooking anything other deep fried fish. Sad case really but don't be fooled.

*********

The general complaint , is that the service here is incredibly slow. Not to worry. We weren't in a rush.

Ordered this huge basket of keropok with dip, to stave off hunger.
Wise choice on our part as other patrons were doing light neck and leg stretches every now and then as if we were all on board a long haul flight.
