To earmark the Zaihani Zain furore

In all honesty , I started out hunting for a bright yellow earring elsewhere other than at Lovisa because I felt that , that , particular colour tone , was way overpriced in their stores . Then somehow I ended up with 2 pieces which I think Zaihani Mohd Zain would probably wear you know , thanks to a few days of the furore setting fire to my facebook feed .
In one post , netizens " bantai-ed " her round the clock for 3 days straight . Wowzers !

Handcrafted beaded earrings all the way from Kapit

You simply cannot compare a distinctive earring from Lovisa to some of these earrings I made a special order for recently .
Yes the following earrings pictured below are waaaay different from a Lovisa but they are no less outstanding and stunning , that's what I can say !

So I found this lady on facebook and I wanted a specific variation on the colour to match that tribal necklace .
Then lo and behold , she showed me this design , which promptly made me ask her for 3 different colour combos .

Star dark , star bright

If you notice already by now , I like to pick up pieces which I actually like from here and there and then only think about how to piece them together in a mix and match manner later .
Sometimes it works , other times , I think to myself " what on earth was I thinking of back then ? " but most times , this habit of mine ends up with me either looking terribly peculiar or arresting depending on who's looking actually .

Now , as you already have seen from my backposts , I really don't need more earrings but then this particular stall was " throwing prices " so to speak , and of all things I had to go pick the one single earring that cost more than all the other flat priced earrings on offer . Still it cost me less than MYR 10 ( 30 baht to be exact ) , so I would still consider this quite a good buy .
Only thing I did not bargain for was the earring not staying put on sparkling black which I liked ..........

More Indian earrings from Little India

Alrightee , lai lai lai ....who wants to see each and every single one of these danglers up close ?
Mannnnn they make me feel like a princess alright !

Ah , but first things first , how much did they cost for me to get sooooooo many at once ?

First she asked for 10 ringgit each (  almost fainted there ) , then she even gave me one free , when I was done ( damn I wanted to cry / laugh / dance but I held it back ) .
Normally though , these would range between MYR 19 to 49.90 per pair ( or if you were to step into Lovisa , similar designs could go for between MYR 80 to MYR 120 + ! ) .

So you see , didn't I tell you how great it is to do physical shopping ,now that a lot of people prefer to do it online ?

First one.
Super sparkly , just like a chandelier on fire !

Indian earrings from Little India - first 3 pairs

Well , we're entering another phase here . Indian earrings .
Yup , all started when I had to improvise on Deepavali , it was a last minute decision when I had to scramble a look that was hurriedly put together .
Also had to do with a couple of visits to Lovisa before I said to myself  " that does it " , after almost fainting over the price tags there .

With a purpose in mind , I stormed into Little India just now .
Honestly , Georgetown is full of Chinese but I was and almost am always the sore thumb that sticks out here . I've NEVER been harassed here once , well , they just look and that's ok by me .

Anyway , come see the booty below .

Earrings large and small

Been getting dressy again .
As a result , I've dragged my small stash of earrings out to wear . Some  are quirky , some diy-ed , most of them are gypsy like .
Show you two first and will post up whenever ( or if I ever feel like it )

1. Personal favourite of mine is one I diy-ed on my own . I put together one dollar store earring with two dollar store keychain metallic doll shoes . Yanked out the large hoop and inserted the smaller earring in this way .
