Why is there so much emphasis on our looks and body weight ? 

It's an oriental woman's thing . Koreans , Chinese , Japanese societies have always been pressuring their womenfolk in particular to comply but I just got lazy after the birth of my youngest son and only got round to doing something about it last year .

Again , I'd like to remind you that I am now fast approaching 50 , no , I'm not in my late 30s like what some strangers think .... not gonna lie about my age anyway . Only started working out again two years ago in November 2016 .

Here are pics of my physique today , still flabby in parts but definitely more toned than when I first started out . My face has slimed down , though I think my head is still kinda doll like huge , can't do nothing about that .

Adidas Ultimate Long Tights - motivational message hidden within

How long has it been since I purchased a pair of tights ?
In the past , I just could not pour myself into an Adidas .

Reebok , Puma , Cotton On and USA Pro were better fits for the heftier woman that I was back then ( when I started out I was in danger of not being able to wear double XL sizes anymore ) . 
But today , so much has melted away , that my floral Cotton On which I wore yesterday looked like a tighter version of harem pants . There was so much space between , it kind of felt so ridiculous as I had to keep on hitching it further and further up my waist , all to no avail !

Everbest - unboxing glittery dancing sneakers

 Everbest is a local shoe brand from Malaysia . 

When I purchased a pair of glittery sneakers from them earlier today , I certainly was not expecting it to come wrapped up so beautifully as if I just coughed up a couple of thousand dollars for it !

Racerback - sized up on purpose

Attending yet another fitness event tomorrow . So I really need this because the organiser has listed it as a sweat fest , thus we'll need a second change of clothes . It'll dry pretty quick , so that's important .

He was one of the first 7 instructors I trained under and he's not only a most capable event organiser , he's a natural born leader who happens to be very enthusiastic , perky , full of energy and is extremely passionate about his chosen field , so I will always throw my support behind him and whatever he does .

2nd pair in 2 months

Bought my first 3 stripe trainers in May , now I've done so much foot battering workouts with them , that the soles are wearing down and making a funny suction sound .

Don't get me wrong , the shoe itself is still intact . Structure still very good .... on the outside that is .

However , the cushioning impact has been drastically reduced and I can feel it . Ignoring that detail just to stretch my ringgit would be a really foolish thing to do , seeing how old I am now .

Just the other day , I was having a chat with this other exercise kaki who told me how she spoilt her knees by not getting a better pair of soles . Too late to turn back time so to speak as the damage is irreversible .

Almost always the first colour to be sold out

Walk into most sports stores in Penang and chances are , the pink tank top or sports bra you seek , in your size is non existent .

Someone always beats you to it .

Two three stripes

Honestly , I don't know what came over me .

Maybe I do .

At first I was completely disappointed after trying out another sports shoe brand ( a sports brand I've been gaga about lately ) . Nothing seemed to fit . Anything below 400 ringgit was all hype , you'll need to look at the higher end ones for a decent pair , but I was having none of it .There were snags , the cushioning was very odd and on the umpteenth pair , I swore I'd get a blister if I ended up with a pair for the next few months .

Looked at a cheap sports shoe brand . Apparently my ongoing exercise regime has made me more sensitive about getting the right fit . Too tight on one foot , too much grip on the sole . Forget it .

Walked into Adidas and that was it .

Their shoes fit so snugly , damn , I ended up with 2 pairs !

Very retro look but the handle was what got my attention .

Stellasport - mesh oversized t - shirt

Somebody shot a wolf whistle my way yesterday while I was walking around in my sports wear .

And being a typical older Malaysian woman , I won't take that lying down .

While it must mean I'm getting shapelier , I will put the sunshade on my now obviously better toned assets .
