Forever 21 activewear haul

Some fitness enthusiasts out there think I spend a ton of money on my togs .

Not really . If I ever do purchase them at full price , I'd probably consider myself a failure , you know ? 

Right . Now , scroll down and see my haul . Spent a total of 4 and a half hours inside the store today .

Still , you'd never guess that each item cost me an average of  RM39  only .

About the same as what you would pay for some cheaper activewear out there in the market , which will not last as many times in the wash .

1. First up .

This white anorak with gold bands along the sleeves

Salsation Wear - made in Colombia tights that fits every size !

When I started checking out Salsation Fitness Wear , I simply could not believe it .

What do you mean it fits every size ?

You mean there is no XS and no XL ? 

Is this even possible ?

Do you have any idea how wide my hips are ? And what just clothed a wasp of a waist , you mean , I can also wear as well without it bursting open at the seams ? 

Wow . Impressive .

So I began looking for an online presence .

" Coming Soon " greeted me .

So frustrating . 

Then , as luck had it , I finally got a hold of a distributor of their original garments .

Slazenger sports skirt - skirting the issue no more

Because of my figure type and overall build  , I've been avoiding having to wear tiny miniskirts for a really long time already .

Activewear haul - new jackets , tops and tights

Because we are now in the thick of the World Cup , the activewear scene has pretty much exploded into regular stores even ,with new in trend colours and more sports dresses than ever .
Currently , walk in customers have some of the best picks I dare say , especially when it comes to branded sports wear ,with some outlets  offering huge discounts in order to compete for your ringgit .

Shuffling tankini

Right now , I'm learning how to do the shuffle . Not by choice though , this is on the instructor's insistence .
In order to not forget the steps , " how to shuffle " vids are the order of the day . One thing led to another and before long , I was watching music festival dance vids , where the choice of dancewear is um ,well, pretty liberating .


As a consequence , I'm looking at skimpy tops which totally do not suit me at all , yet I still took them into the changing room for a try . 
And that's pretty much how I ended up with this lacey tankini .

When this range was originally launched a year back , Leigh-Anne's 2 piece set alone would set you back by MYR 500 + 

Hunt for the Reebok x ELLE Lux capri

The day I first spotted Miss Kitty  wearing this stunning capri , made me determined to go hunt it  down , now..... if only I knew where the boutique was .

After googling only did I discover that the label Elle plastered all over the front and back , refers to the American graffiti artist who collaborated with Reebok to come up with this head turning piece .

Bear in mind , I still have the piece by Upendo Taylor ( famously worn by Ronda Rousey ) which I love to death but I also just had to have this ( I think I'm turning into a leggings collector at this point already )

So began the hunt .

Sports Direct is the only retail place where I can get USA Pro , the fitness wear brand from . And since they announced that they are holding a Sports Fair , beginning on the 23rd of November , lots of people have been making a beeline to their shop on the island already .

Keeping in mind that the annual bridge run is on this weekend , I decided that it was best for me to come check it out on the first day of the event ( which stretches till 3rd of December btw ) .

Cotton On Body

Orange seems to be my new favourite colour nowadays . 

There are just so many shades to choose from I can't believe it ! 

From pastels , to candy shades and bright fluorescents , when I spot them on the rack , I go a bit nuts after that .

Forever not enough

It's a week to Raya and there are massive sales in just about every corner . 

In fact , I don't remember the discounts being this hefty before ( last year saw a lot of new beautiful stocks towards Raya but this year , there are massive clearance sales , and I mean massive ) but oh my gawd , you'd better go check out the good shopping complexes here .

Anyway , now that I have dedicated my time to and adopted a firm exercise schedule , the word 

SALE hung up all over the shop ,

proved too much !

Alas , I caved in and came out with 4 more very " necessary " sports bras from where else but Forever 21 .

Reasoned with myself that their durability and colour fastness was an

" investment " 

( what self delusional bs )

Omg I went mad just now in the store . There were plenty of the stuff that I was looking for and I ended up with yet another 6 pieces from Cotton On

When it comes to my activewear , I love to dress in a riot of colours .

Plus I'm beginning to explore other stores for more variety , such as Cotton On , where I found these two called the Coar Coar Power Mesh Tank in Blue Light and Coar Performance Muscle Tee in Yellow Heather .

Almost always the first colour to be sold out

Walk into most sports stores in Penang and chances are , the pink tank top or sports bra you seek , in your size is non existent .

Someone always beats you to it .

Pink sells out like hot buns here .

Puma - Clash Tights

I stepped in a little starry eyed into the Puma boutique today . 

Can't say I wasn't influenced by the exceptional service I received from the staff ( was checking out their Ignite series... omg so cantiklah ) , in the end , I bought my first piece .

Call it a compromise though it seems more like a splurge since I already have acquired some pretty cool tights from Reebok so far.

Wearable high performance art

Before I go any further , I'd like you to know that this unique Upendo Taylor / Reebok collaborative piece was launched way back in 2015 .

 So it's not new , just that I wasn't into fitness apparel back then and probably would have busted an eyeball trying to squeeze myself into them .

Coming back to the story , I spotted this 2 nights ago , decided not to wait and went back for it last night , you know , since there was only one piece in my size and a good thing too .....

because when I walked into the store and could not find it on the rack , once I started looked for the shopgirl for answers , I almost screamed .

They were packing the whole lot up to transfer back to their warehouse in Selangor ! Omg ! Just in the nick of time !

Here's my second pair of Reebok tights which I find just as addictive as those Forever 21 sports bras .

You shouldn't ever try buying inner wear or sports attire at Forever 21 .

Gosh !

I completely lurrrrrvvvv how the pieces feel and look that whenever I'm in the vicinity , I just cannot pull myself away . Just gotta step in and take a peek .

Doesn't help that sports streetwear is so huge at the moment .

Stellasport - mesh oversized t - shirt

Somebody shot a wolf whistle my way yesterday while I was walking around in my sports wear .

And being a typical older Malaysian woman , I won't take that lying down .

While it must mean I'm getting shapelier , I will put the sunshade on my now obviously better toned assets .

Reebok - they call these Happy Tights

Over the weeks I've been in and out of dressing rooms a lot trying out compression training tights in particular .

This is why I ended up paying more for a pair of Reebok workout tights .
