Because we are now in the thick of the World Cup , the activewear scene has pretty much exploded into regular stores even ,with new in trend colours and more sports dresses than ever .
Currently , walk in customers have some of the best picks I dare say , especially when it comes to branded sports wear ,with some outlets  offering huge discounts in order to compete for your ringgit .

Coordinating separates into one tracksuit

It took a search through 2 states to come up with this single coordinated look ,conjured from two garments by 2 different labels from H&M . 

This coordinated colour and print look is something only like minded women will appreciate .

It's also gonna be the first time I'm taking my Puma's to the pavement and oh while we're at it , let's throw on that Zara bag now shall we ?

Perfect Pairings with a perfect price

Just looooove buying reasonably priced clothes especially when they go on sale .

How'd I end up here then ? See , soon after walking away so disappointed by the fit at Zara where I was actually prepared to fork out more than I would , I made my way to the monorail station when I came across H & M .

Omg ....the instant I saw the crowd of locals mixed with excited tourists from all corners of the world , I put in a last ditched effort . Despite my feet killing me and being dead tired from all that trying in two earlier Zara stores , I soldiered on and made 4 / 6 times in and out of the dressing room before I finally decided on this dress below .

The 6% effect

Retailers as of now , are already giving us 6% off our purchases in a heck of a lot of places and that has translated into robust crowds flocking into the shopping complexes of late .

The amount of people offering a 6% cashback or straight discount is so bewildering omg ....and then there are clothing stores such as H  &  M leading the pack with very visible notices outside their stores .

No secret code required , you just come and swoop up even heavily discounted products , no questions asked .....6 % is taken off immediately , no need to wait till 1st of June !

Completely transparent high neck top. I seriously wonder how I am going to walk around with this and a straight face . In the meantime BUY first , cry later ? Will I be brazen enough to pull this off ? Errrr no , I think I'll wear a camisole underneath you know 

Sequins and Lolita figure hugging skirts

Sequinned clothes never die off .

But they've gotten very expensive lately , till I almost had a heart attack when I looked at some pieces of clothing over at Miss Selfridge .

Anyway , the best way to lay your hands on a more reasonably priced range is to identify which store stocks what , then when you feel like it , check the racks and keep your fingers crossed that one fine day , they will miraculously have one piece in your size .
What kind of a strategy is that ? 
One that saves you $$$$$ only if you have patience and are not too bothered about not being the first to wear it .

So so sooooooooooo ?

When I first tried these pull up pleather pants , I was so disappointed ,

they just could not go past my hips .

With a heavy heart , I told myself to forget it and work on getting myself to a point where one day it will .

Well , today , not only does it finally fit , I've gone 2 sizes down plus there was a huge markdown as well !

Mayday sales haul

Was in another town today ( not  Penang ) when I stumbled upon a swarm of tudung ladies going all crazy over at the local Vincci shoe counter .

Apparently , the sale began yesterday , and it's going to continue up till the 1st of May . 

3 years late

Two posts before this , I was talking about how lace dresses seem to be so darned attractive to the aunty lurking inside of us .

Progression into auntyhood

I don't think any young Malaysian lady would be caught dead in this dress below . These types of shift dresses with see through lace is favoured by the Malaysian Chinese aunty type , which is obviously the direction in which I am headed currently .
In fact , if a " young " looking lady does end up wearing something similar to this , it shows you just how old she is actually , or how much help she's had from surgeons (  look at the lines on her hands , those never lie ) or not ! Chances are , she's probably in her late 30s to 40s by the time she decides to walk outdoors sheathed in a laser cut example .

On the other hand ,while my Cotton On pieces are magnets that get me wolf whistled at , I feel the need to escape from that and take a break from younger fashion , well , sometimes , not always you know . 

Aunty fashion to me , is a lot of fun actually . I'm mystified at how it manages to embolden young lone Middle Eastern men into approaching me especially when I am dressed in tiger or cheetah animal prints paired with my denim shorts like what happened today . The guy was quite blatantly insistent in engaging me , despite me pointing out my 2 male escorts to let him know that I was not alone , yet , he still gazed at my face like he was about to graze on sweet grass gosh....I've never felt so flattered lol .

Anyway , this aunty fashion phase  seems to be a natural progression , as if we are wired to appreciate such pieces of clothing once we attain a certain age . Those patterns seem to trigger an emotion locked away for a good part of our youth , and that's why most times , you'll see it on a shapeless ah sum on a dinner date with her gang. Or......that sexy voluptously hot 42 year old ah sum whom people think is 25 !

Changing room mirrors that tell no lies

I actually have enough clothes to last me a really long time already .

And yet somehow , the word

DEALS 

placed on the glass window of the store lured me in .

Now , if you've been following my blog , you'll know that I haven't really purchased many clothes from H & M.

Colour my bag

We're approaching the last days of the Malaysian year end sale and as soon as that is over , I'm sure Chinese New Year shoppers will be their next target . What that means another round of sales, folks !

If you ask me , this year has been a really good year to go search for stuff in the retail stores since so many people prefer to shop online nowadays as they're either too busy / the mere thought of lining up or even trying to get parking space just makes them throw their hands up and surrender . 

All this means a better chance for shoppers like me , someone who is in the midst of building a wardrobe ( yeah , I don't wait for New Year to make resolutions , I just get down and do it ) to land some really fantastic buys from the stores .

You have less competition ladies !

Upskirt prevention , borderline motivation

Suffered a temporary setback , yet I still went ahead and purchased this very daring ( for my age and figure lah ) number from YFS .

It looks like those skirts worn by Thai school girls and I think I may just possess the nerve to pull this off . 

I did try a few short skirts at H&M but then I thought they made me look like a German barmaid because every pleat stuck outwards like it was on static so no go . YFS on the other hand has skirts that fit even bigger girls like me , so I'm quite pleased with my first purchase from them .

Now , if you're worried about upskirt pictures , fret no more , this store actually has an inbuilt pair of stretchable shorts inside to kill the fire so to speak. What a brilliant idea indeed ! 

Thus when you go up the escalator and some hamsap lou pervert gets all excited , you'll turn his gleeful smile upside down ,once he sees the shorts you have underneath it .

 I must post this up because I found some items which were marked down to such a ridiculous level , you won't even believe me if I told you how much they cost and how much I ended up paying for the lot . The lady queueing up behind me was so shocked and outraged at the prices , by the time she regained her composure ,she demanded to know where exactly I found them .

Still , out of habit , I popped into the best shopping complex in town , which is Aman Central , and head straight for the split level H&M store located within .

Tuesday poncho

After Black Friday , came Cyber Monday . While both have yet to catch on , there's still the year end sale to look forward to . Over the weekend however , with salaries finally out ( due to some major problems with certain debit, credit and atm cards , oh there was a crowd alright over at Paragon . 

What we aimed for on Friday was nowhere to be seen on Monday .

Instead I almost jumped today , which happens to be Tuesday , when I found this poncho under the Divided label .

Perfect ! Just what I've been searching for all this while .And at such a bargain too !

Black Friday haul

Got some pretty good buys off the rack from the Black Friday sale today .

GAP's was the best if you ask me , since I was already eyeing some items already . Was kinda expecting this sale , thus I did my legwork days ahead of time , you know , just in case , and I'm so happy that my hunch was right ( that explains my abstinence from writing here heh heh )

In order to get the 50 % discount , one had to comply and purchase 5 items . 

Discount was storewide so that was pretty awesome , just that you'll need to comply with the 5 item purchase .

There were tons of ladies inside Sephora as they were lopping 20% off everything except for the usual off limit items .

There was a 50% discount at Esprit , Charles&Keith , Aldo ,Topshop and Dorothy Perkins too . But I was pretty turned off by the conditions as well as the very limited merchandise on offer . Worst discount title has to belong to Levi's ( better don't give lah , if you don't mind me saying so ). 

Worst service staff awards go to that surly bob haired girl with too much whitening makeup in Mango Queensbay Mall as well as the abang in Timberland Queensbay Mall also . These 2 ate a lot of bittergourd apparently . Sucks to be around these 2 personnel . Smiling is not in their reportoire unlike the super awesome Sam ( the tudung girl ) at Gap QB . I love her . She's such a nice and warm person . 

Best sales person ever = Sam .

Wanted to check Dr.Martens and Mark&Spencer but I was totally beat so I don't know if the last 2 retail outlets had any good stuff or not .

One thing you gotta know about me is that I'm not an online shopper. I still love dragging my ass through the shops , scouring through racks , physically rummaging , finding unlikely gems in the least likely places .
